SUMMER LIGHTHOUSE WATERCOLOR

This course features two classes where the second piggy backs directly onto the completion of the product of the first. 

WEEK 1 Class

 In this hands-on class, you will design and create an accordion-style art journal learning how to create the covers and to properly cut and adhere the paper for the journal to make a reversible blank accordion style art journal. You will not be painting or decorating pages in this class but learning the techniques to construct the journal book itself that you will use in Week 2.

WEEK 2 Class

Using the accordion art journal created in week 1,   In this art journaling class, you will choose inspirational words that resonate with you and transform them into expressive, one-of-a-kind journal pages. You’ll explore a variety of mixed media materials introduced during class—such as paint, collage elements, mark-making tools, and texture techniques—to layer meaning, color, and emotion into your work. Through guided prompts and creative experimentation, you’ll design and complete at least two art journal pages that reflect your personal style while building confidence and freedom in your visual storytelling. 

$120 for both classes includes ALL supplies and materials for BOTH classes.
