  Painting with watercolor doesn't have to be difficult or stressful. In this class, you will relax into the process of creating a posy bouquet using wet-on-wet techniques. You'll use layering to develop the color and depth of a springtime flower bouquet. By blending and layering colors, you'll be amazed as the pigments flow. You'll finish your artwork by using inks to define the details.

  Join us for a creative journey in our "Alcohol Ink Necklaces" class, where you'll explore the vibrantly colorful world of alcohol ink art while crafting stunning wearable art necklaces. In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn to manipulate alcohol inks on a substrate, achieving mesmerizing abstract designs through techniques such as blending, lifting, and masking. We'll guide you through the processes of selecting and preparing your materials, dropping, layering, and activating transparent inks. Then you’ll have the choice to add and reactivate your piece with silver and gold-colored metallic inks. We’ll seal your artwork to ensure durability. Once your spectacular inked components are ready, you'll master the basics of jewelry construction by learning to curate and assemble beads to highlight your inked focal piece, using metal findings and chain. By the end of the class, you'll leave with a uniquely designed necklace, complete with your personal touch, plus the skills to continue creating beautiful wearable alcohol ink jewelry art at home!

Students should bring their own round nose jewelry pliers. All other supplies will be provided. Aprons and gloves will be available. These inks do stain, so students may want to wear clothes that it’s okay to get messy.
